HOTEL LOTTE understands that water is the one resource that we absolutely must protect for our sustainability.
Our efforts to prevent water waste and ensure the efficient use of water include the replacement of dated facilities and equipment with modern water-saving options. We also recycle rainwater and used water through purification.
Water-saving showers in hotel and resort guest rooms and water-saving washbasins in theme park and aquarium bathrooms conserve water resources. Guests staying longer are given the option to have bedding changed at a reduced frequency to participate in HOTEL LOTTE’s water-saving efforts.
Water used just once for certain purposes remains relatively clean, and can be reused if properly treated. LOTTE WORLD operates a greywater plant for just this purpose, recycling used water to be reused in restrooms, cleaning, and landscaping. Seawater used in LOTTE WORLD AQUARIUM is purified and reused for annual savings of around 300,000 tons of water. In 2022, the water purification system used by LOTTE WORLD underwent an upgrade for reduced electricity consumption, making it even greener through reduced carbon emissions.
